Taurage Photo Gallery opened the door October 10^th, 2003. Its located on the grounds of Taurage castle in the southwest Tower which had been newly reconstructed. In two halls of the Gallery it is easy to exhibit 40-50 big size works. We have already had more than 42 exhibitions. There were presented works from Kedainiai Photo Club, works by Aleksandras Dapkevicius (Klaipeda), Stanislovas Zvirgzdas (Vilnius), Nature Photographers Association from Finland, Moscow photoartists, Algimantas Kezys from Chicago (USA) and etc.

A lot of colleagues came for the Gallery opening day. Klaipeda photoartists at the head with Algimantas Jankunas brought their congratulations.. We were wished good luck also by mazeikiai photoartists Jonas Stazdauskas and Algimantas Tirlikas.. The head of Kaunas Photo Gallery Snieguole Michelkeviciute handed heaps of photo books, so our youngsters could learn from them. She emphasized  this event being of great importance not only for Taurage, but also for the republic too.

For this occasion , the edition „Taurage Photo Gallery“ was published in 1000 copies.
